Origins of Cuban Music

Roots and main elements of Cuban everyday life can be found in its music which has its origins on this beautiful island. Reaching from world famous Salsa, Son Cubano, Bolero, Cha Cha Cha, Mambo to Rumba - Cuba is known for its tropical rhythms which are danced at anytime of the day even in the streets.

Caribbean rhythms accompanied by drums and a lot of exotic instruments are main elements of typical Cuban music. 

Famous Cuban artists including Compay Segundo , Eliades Ochoa, Ibrahim Ferrer famous known from Buena Vista Social Club and Pablo Milanés and Silvio Rodriguez.

Younger and internationally recognized artists are Chuchu Valdez, Los Van Van, Sexto Sentido and Frank Fernandez.
